Functional Off-Leash Obedience
Summit K9's signature program. This program is designed for dog owners looking for more than average obedience, but more real freedom and reliability in their dog. This comprehensive program builds the skills you need for confident, distraction-proof off leash work for everyday life.
You will learn to build a clear communication system with your dog via the E Collar, both in the context of recall and obedience. Leash manners will be addressed, as well as reliable off leash heeling. Additional advanced obedience will be layered in throughout the program!
The result is a dog who can enjoy true freedom outdoors in a variety of environments, while you enjoy the peace of mind that comes with true reliability. This program focuses on functional, practical skills that uphold beyond training sessions - giving you the confidence to truly trust your dog.

The early months set the stage for everything that follows. Our Puppy Foundations program gives you and your puppy the clear structure, skills, and habits needed to grow into a confident, well-mannered adult dog.
We cover crate training and effective management strategies so your puppy learns to settle and thrive in the home. Proper socialization and neutrality work help your pup navigate the world calmly around people, dogs, and everyday distractions. Place work builds impulse control and a reliable “off switch", while beginner obedience introduces the core communication skills that make life together smoother from the start.
This program is designed to prevent common problems before they begin and to give you practical tools you can use every day. The result is a puppy who is set up for success, and a foundation strong enough to support everything you want to achieve together in the future.

Puppy Foundations
Every dog deserves a solid foundation, and we believe two major skills sit at the heart of it: loose-leash walking and a reliable recall. These are the essentials that make daily life smoother, safer, and more enjoyable for both you and your dog.
In The Basics, we focus on building clear communication and consistent responses so your dog can enjoy walks with you without pulling on the lead, and comes when they're called - regardless of distractions. We teach these skills in a way that is fair, effective, and transferable to real life, giving you practical tools you can use right away.
This program lays the groundwork for better walks, greater freedom, and a stronger relationship. Everything else builds from here.

The Basics
When challenges like leash reactivity, resource guarding, or aggression toward people or other dogs begin to limit your life together, targeted support makes a difference.
Our Behavioural Rehab program is designed to address these issues with clear structure, safety-focused strategies, and individualized plans that create lasting change.
This program prioritizes both safety and progress. Through consistent, well-timed training and management strategies, we help you and your dog move toward calmer, more predictable interactions - and a stronger, more trusting relationship.
